Instagram Marketing Strategies

The first step is optimizing your profiles on both platforms. On Facebook, add your location, hours of operation, business description, and other vital details. Also, encourage customers to leave reviews. 

On Instagram, switch to a business profile, so you can add a contact button and analyze your performance. You should also fill out your bio and upload a high-quality logo. 

Respond to Customer Messages

Customers can message you on Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Always check your inbox and respond to messages promptly. An unresponsive business can turn away potential customers, possibly sending them straight to your competitors’ doors. 

Develop a Brand Color Scheme

A consistent color scheme will help you establish your brand identity. A notable example is Coca-Cola’s red, white, and black color scheme. You don’t need to see the wording on a bottle to know it’s a bottle of Coca-Cola. 

Sprite and Pepsi are two other soft drink companies with memorable color schemes. Similarly, McDonald’s has its own color scheme. So does Starbucks. 

Choose a color scheme that you can use across your Instagram and Facebook graphics and profile images.

A social listening strategy involves paying attention to the comments and posts of your followers and influential accounts in your niche. Follow big influencers in your niche, and you may notice that they often discuss similar topics simultaneously. You can also set up Google Alerts, monitor trending topics on Twitter, and subscribe to subreddits on Reddit. 

Use Videos and Reels

Stories are posts that are active for only 24 hours, after which they automatically disappear. You can share Stories on both Instagram and Facebook. They appear at the top of users’ feeds, in a horizontal order, as opposed to regular posts, which show up in a vertical order. 

Since Facebook and Instagram often bury posts deep in your followers’ feeds, Stories can help you get more exposure. They are also perfect for sharing content you don’t want to keep on your feed, such as time-limited posts. Furthermore, businesses can add links to their Instagram Stories, using them to drive traffic to blog posts, signup pages, or product pages. 

Another idea is resharing your new Instagram posts to your Instagram Stories, thus getting more visibility, even if people didn’t see the Instagram post when you first shared it.

However, you must still monitor your pages daily, so you can respond to comments in real time.
